Voice Mode
Voice Mode lets you speak your prompt instead of typing it. Your speech is turned into text, which you can review and edit before sending.
Using the Microphone
- Open a chat.
- Click the microphone icon next to the message box.
- Speak your prompt.
- The recognized text appears in the message box. Edit it if needed, then send it like any other message.
If the microphone icon isn't visible, voice input isn't enabled for your account.
Call Mode
Call mode turns the conversation into a back-and-forth voice exchange: you speak, the AI responds, and you can keep talking without switching back to typing.
- Open a chat.
- Click the Call button.
- Speak your question. The AI's text response is read back to you.
- Keep talking to continue the conversation, or close the call view to return to normal chat.
What Happens to Your Words
Speech is converted to text before it reaches the model. The model sees and responds to text, the same as in a typed conversation — everything covered in Key Features about chat behavior and model switching still applies.
When to Use It
Voice Mode is useful when your hands are busy, when you think faster out loud than you type, or when you want a more natural back-and-forth for brainstorming.
If the transcription misses a word, you can always edit the text before sending — the microphone fills the message box, it doesn't send automatically.
